Leadership can be a very lonely journey. The pressure to “get it right” overwhelming and the desire to return to building or doing the thing that made you a leader sometimes confusing. Navigating these feelings and uncovering your true desires is a core outcome of coaching. Gaining clarity in and for yourself results in increased leadership and satisfaction for all.
Coaching with Dawn has opened up my eyes to what compassionate leadership truly looks like. I've also gained insights on how to conduct effective processes that are relevant to my firm (i.e. recruitment, interviewing, performance reviews, developing handbooks, etc). "
JR (Head of People, Venture)
With over 20 years of operating experience, and being an executive myself, has allowed me to work with all types of leaders, within business that were great successes and some failures. I’ve seen the spectrum of it all (and made some mistakes that I’m happy to share so you can avoid them). Helping you feel less alone and stuck. Let’s navigate some important topics with a little more joy and play.
Born in Ogden, Utah to an immigrant dad and a local mom, Dawn grew up working in her family restaurant and talking about business at the dinner table. She was the first in her family to graduate from University. After graduation she moved to the “opposite of Salt Lake City”, San Francisco, just in time to see the first tech bubble pop (RIP Pets.com). Dawn has worked for a top 10 international law firm, a fortune 100 media giant, the developer of the world’s largest solar field and the fastest growing SAAS company of all time. She has been an ICF certified coach since 2017. She has studied and been certified by Brene Brown (Dare to Lead), Pam Hudson (Hudson Institute) and Diana Chapman & Jim Dethmer (Conscious Leadership Group).
Dawn survived a medical crisis and now gratefully lives with her husband and two cats in the Bay Area. She recently became a Tia for the first time and finds it to be one of the most joyful experiences. She loves that baby and loves giving them back to their mom and dad!
Her father continues to encourage her to get a “real job” as a doctor, lawyer or engineer.
